A unique bottle
|
If, as the saying goes, you do not judge a wine by the bottle, some bottles have a history of their own. That is so of the bottles of Château de Pommard. They were blown for the first time in the 18th century and then disappeared, swept away by the torments of History. In 1969, the owners - the famous psychoanalyst Jean Louis Laplanche and his wife Nadine - gave it its original shape. Jean Laplanche created his antique glass colour and master glassmakers made the bottle come to life. Its elegant neck, its skilfully rounded appearance and its well marked ring give it its singularity. The bottles still bear the original label, with the arms of the Château, "Noblesse oblige"! |
