Release of Famille Carabello-Baum’s 2020 wines: A remarkable vintage.

Château de Pommard and Famille Carabello-Baum are delighted to announce the release of 27 wines – of which six are certified organic – from the 2020 vintage. From Gevrey-Chambertin to Maranges, the family invites wine enthusiasts from across the globe to explore Burgundy’s iconic La Route des Grands Crus through the tasting of the region’s most iconic appellations.

Burgundy’s 2020 vintage reflects the region’s mosaic of terroirs marked by an unusually rapid cycle with premature bloom and early harvest. The white wines are fruity with beautiful aromatic complexity, while the reds are delicious and expressive, displaying intense red fruits aromas and a concentrated character.

Wine lovers can celebrate this unique release with four distinctive collections of six and three bottles, available at special en primeur prices though June 30, 2022. The La Route des Grands Crus Collection ($389) and the La Route des Grands Crus Premium Collection ($659) sample the family’s best-selling Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from the Côte d’Or. The Route des Grands Crus Premium Red Trio ($393) includes three Pinot Noirs from Burgundy: Chambolle-Musigny 2020, Vougeot Premier Cru “Les Petits Vougeots” 2020 and Corton Bressandes Grand Cru. The Route des Grands Crus White Trio ($360) features Meursault Premier Cru “Charmes” 2020, Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru “Morgeot” 2020, and Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2020. All of the family’s wines are available on the Château de Pommard website and can be delivered worldwide.

Lastly, the family is proud to unveil six organic wines within the 2020 vintage: Bourgogne Aligoté ($25), Bourgogne Chardonnay ($35), Bourgogne Pinot Noir ($35), Savigny-Les-Beaune red ($44), Savigny-Les-Beaune white ($47) and Savigny-Les-Beaune Premier Cru “Les Lavières” ($60). Château de Pommard began its collaboration with Nature in 2018, with the biodynamics conversion of its famous vineyard, the Clos Marey-Monge. The family’s Bourgogne Pinot Noir and Bourgogne Chardonnay 2020 cuvées were produced following the same biodynamic principles.
