Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru "Les Cazetiers" 2018

  • Our Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru "Les Cazetiers" has a deep ruby color with an intense and complex nose. Aromas of red fruit are mixed with toasted and roasted notes. The palate is full and generous, firm with very present tannins. This powerful wine has a silky structure and magnificent persistence. It shows a very nice freshness, refreshing for this sunny vintage.

  • Located east of "Clos Saint-Jacques", this climat is one of the highest in Gevrey-Chambertin. Facing due east and overlooked by an oak forest, it is protected from the weather and very favorable for the cultivation of Pinot Noir. Characterized by a steep slope, the shallow soils are generally very stony across the plot, though predominantly marly towards the top of the plot.
