Clos Marey-Monge Grands Esprits 2019
-
Known for giving body and structure to our Clos Marey-Monge Monopole, our Grands Esprits plot makes Pommard of great quality and structure. With its ruby, violet-tinted color and its expressive nose marked by aromas of ripe black fruit, rose and sweet spices, it stands out as a generous and robust wine. A long and mineral finish brings a touch of elegance to this complex cuvée.

The 4.81-hectare plot of Grands Esprits has large, round, rocky, limestone-rich soils planted between 1970 and 1980. It produces a straight Pinot Noir with firm tannins and potential for long aging. Occupying almost one-quarter of our vineyard’s overall area, the 220 rows of Grands Esprits is the most calcareous area in the Clos Marey-Monge.
