Scholarships Awarded by Château de Pommard
In memory of Jérôme Aucourt, Château de Pommard created these scholarships to support wine enthusiasts seeking to deepen their wine knowledge and careers.
For 15 years, Jérôme Aucourt introduced wine to thousands of people from around the world at Château de Pommard. He was a passionate wine lover and a key pillar in the team at Château de Pommard. Through wine education, resources and opportunities, this scholarship aims at providing wine enthusiasts sharing Jérôme's passion the tools they need to thrive in this competitive industry.
In 2022, the winners of the Jérôme Aucourt Scholarships will be awarded a unique in-depth immersion into the wine world thanks to the 1 day mentorship experience.

The Scholarships
The scholarships are offered in three categories for a total of six (6) winners:
WSET Level 1 Award in Wines - French
WSET Level 1 Award in Wines - English
WSET Level 2 Award in Wines - French
WSET Level 2 Award in Wines - English
WSET Level 3 Award in Wines - French
WSET Level 3 Award in Wines - English
Please note:
Recipients of the above awards will have the choice to complete their WSET course at École V Pommard OR École V Paris.
It is not possible to complete the WSET course virtually or remotely. The course start date must be within 12 months of the award.

A Unique Mentorship Experience
Starting in 2022, scholarship winners will also benefit from a unique mentorship experience tailored to the winner to give them further insight into various aspects of the wine industry.
In Pommard
A full-day immersion at Château de Pommard, including an experience with the following teams:
Customer Delivery
Viticulture & Winemaking
Biodynamic Principles and Horse Care
Retail Wine Advisors
Concierge
The day also includes:
A one-on-one lunch with a member of Ecole V team at a typical local restaurant
A complimentary tasting of Château de Pommard wines with a dedicated wine advisor

In Paris
A full-day immersion at VIVANT in Paris, including an experience with the following teams:
Marketing (Communication, Social Media, CRM)
VIVANT Wine Advisors
Customer Care
Partners (Wine Sourcing)
The day also includes:
A one-on-one lunch with a member of Ecole V team at a typical Parisian bistro
A complimentary one-month subscription to vivant.eco

For WSET Level 1 or WSET Level 2 Scholarship Applications:
Be at least 18 years old
Submit a current CV
Submit a motivation letter, outlining any relevant wine or hospitality industry experiences (if applicable, but not required). This letter should be between 500 and 750 words in length and provides the opportunity for candidates to inform the scholarship committee of their motivations.
Provide contact details for 2 professional/educational references the committee could reach out to if you were to be shortlisted. Include email, phone number and context in which you know the person. (References will only be contacted if you are a scholarship finalist)

For WSET Level 3 Scholarship Applications:
Be at least 18 years old
Submit a current CV
Submit a digital copy of the WSET Level 2 Award in Wine Certificate, showing that you passed Level 2
Submit a motivation letter, outlining any relevant wine or hospitality industry experiences (if applicable, but not required). This letter should be between 500 and 750 words in length and provides the opportunity for candidates to inform the scholarship committee of their motivations.
Provide contact details for 2 professional/educational references the committee could reach out to if you were to be shortlisted. Include email, phone number and context in which you know the person. (References will only be contacted if you are a scholarship finalist)
Submit an essay on the impact of global warming on the wine industry. This essay should be between 500 and 750 words in length. The way you approach the topic is entirely up to you.
