Simone 2018
-
Powerful and delicate, our Simone 2018 is adorned with a dark, deep ruby color and violet undertones. The nose is electric, full of energy. It distills a captivating aromatic bouquet of fresh roses, dried flowers, musk, undergrowth and graphite. The palate is fresh and vibrant: this wine is alive. The very tight tannic structure is remarkably silky and velvety. With its long, vibrant and saline finish, this very deep cuvée will offer the same energy for the next 30 years.

Born from vines situated at the highest point of our Clos Marey-Monge, Simone embodies the soul of our domaine. Planted in 1986 on soils with one of the greatest surface densities of clay in Burgundy, this Pinot Noir is highly delicate and intense. Our rarest cuvée is rich, complex and extremely memorable.

This is quite astonishing. There's a beautifully floral cherry fruit nose with hints of meat and dried herbs, and some fine spiciness. Astonishingly pretty and elegant, this is fabulous stuff.
