A deep ruby color with hints of purple, our 2018 Pinot Noir does not resemble a simple regional appellation. The nose is captivating with its aromas of ripe black fruit, peony, fresh rose and nuances of spices. The palate is dense, with lots of material. The tannins are tight but deliciously velvety. The finish, fresh, doesn't at all suggest the heaviness associated with the vintage. It is vibrant and pleasant with a light minty note.
Located in the plain that faces the Clos Marey-Monge, our plot “Les Lormes” complex Pommard soils are a great match to the region’s native red grape. Across the Côte de Beaune, clay-rich soils are the perfect terroir for this cépage. Our Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a balanced and silky wine that expresses the essence of Burgundy’s iconic grape variety.
