Grand International Wine Award MUNDUS VINI 2021

The 28th Grand International Wine Award MUNDUS VINI took place on February 27-28, 2021, in Neustadt, Germany. With nearly 11,000 wines entered, it is one of the most important wine competitions in the world. Experts from around the world gathered to taste each wine and awarded a total of 49 Grand Gold, 1,546 Gold, and 1,339 Silver Medals.

The jury is composed of some of the world's most famous wine professionals: expert sommeliers, œnologists, wine critics, and major retailers. Their knowledge and expertise of the wine world have built the fantastic worldwide reputation of MUNDUS VINI.

The competition aims at promoting both the quality and the marketing of the wines entered. The awards are intended to offer producers, winegrowers, importers, and consumers a forum which, firstly, permits a comparison of wines and offers valuable help with decision-making and orientation when buying wine and, secondly, reaches a wide public.

Here are the results for our wines:

Chassagne-Montrachet 2018: Awarded "Best of Show - Burgundy White" and Gold Medal
Ladoix Premier Cru "Les Gréchons" 2018: Gold Medal

About Mundus Vini

MUNDUS VINI was founded 20 years ago by the Meininger Verlag, and from the beginning has been one of the most important wine competitions in the world. The 11,000 wines that are submitted every year are clear proof of the importance this competition has now achieved in Germany and all over the world. They are evaluated using the 100-point system of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV). Only the top 40 per cent of wines submitted to the competition receive medals for their quality. This underscores the exclusivity of the MUNDUS VINI medals as well as the professionalism and uniqueness of the event itself. The Wine Award process takes place twice a year, in spring and late summer. Initiator of MUNDUS VINI is the publishing company Meininger Verlag, which specialises in trade journals for the wine industry.
